Bath & Body Works Summer Semi-Annual Sale Haul

Bath & Body Works Summer Semi-Annual Sale Haul

Bath & Body Works’ semi-annual sale ended last Thursday, so I figured now was the perfect time to share my haul!! Let’s get to it!

The first group of products I want to discuss are perfect for summer! All three fragrances are beach-themed, and they’re great for if you live in a land-locked spot but still have a hankering for that beachy goodness.

My mom loves all suntan-inspired smells, so she picked up a couple bottles of the Shades of Summer: Summer Suntan foaming hand soap. We always do a beach theme in our light blue guest bathroom, so the smell fits! The sunscreen-sunshine smell of this soap is nostalgia in a bottle, and the best part is, it really does smell clean!

Moving on to two candles, both my purchases. I adore having a candle burning in my bedroom or office whenever I’m working – it just sets a great mood in any room! Most of my candles are decidedly winter scents, so I really wanted to stock up on some summer ones. I ended up buying three three-wick candles total, and two are in this beachy range! The first is the Ocean Therapy: Ocean Mist Citrus candle, and the second is the Sail Away: Oceanside candle. The citrusy smell definitely stands out in the former, and makes it a candle that I know will find its way into my morning routine to wake me up!

Meanwhile, Oceanside really makes me think of the actual sea, and I love candles that have “water” scents – I know it’s weird to think of water having a smell, but I definitely think it has one! Something really natural and clean, and is perfect for those days when I just feel a little overwhelmed.

Next up is another one of my mom’s purchases! She is SUCH a Florida girl, she sees any fragrance with “beach” in the name and snaps it right up. But seriously, the At the Beach fragrance mist is awesome. It’s a really nice bright scent with notes of toasted coconut and a saltwater breeze. Are there more SUMMER scents than those two?? Plus, I love the bottle. While I definitely own some of their crazier bottles, Bath and Body Works has started trending toward really neat, minimalistic packaging. This bottle is so classy and will go great with any white/blue/bronze bathroom or bedroom color scheme. The little bit of glitter adds a great sparkly pop, too.

Okay, next…THE CUTEST THING EVER. And I don’t mean my Squirt plush (sorry, Squirt!). As you can see, I definitely have a thing for sea turtles – I think they’re so adorable, and I think everything about them is super interesting…their migration habits and how long they live are both SO COOL. Plus, who doesn’t love them in Finding Nemo? So funny. SO, of course I had to pick up this little car air freshener. I need to name her, comment suggestions down below!! The only other air freshener holder I have is a fuzzy little penguin with hat and boots, and while that also fits my criteria of being SO CUTE, it’s again better suited for winter. I got one Cucumber Melon and one Mahogany Teakwood air freshener – those are two of my favorite classic Bath and Body Works scents!

Moving on to another purchase of my mom’s – a few items from the Waikiki Beach Cocnut line! My family loved our vacation to Hawaii a couple years ago, and I know that my mom would love to go back someday. The packaging on these products is so artsy and pretty, but I do have a slight bone to pick with Bath and Body Works…I’m pretty sure toucans aren’t native to Hawaii. Maybe going more of a floral route could have worked better if accuracy was what they were going for, but nonetheless, the painterly-rendered toucan is pretty darn cute. Again, this beachy scent heavily features coconut, and because my mom got both the shower gel and the body cream, the products will create a really nice lightly layered effect.

Now another set of purchases by yours truly! I love everything about peaches – the taste, the smell, everything! So of course when I saw that there’s a peach line (plus a bonus candle!) I had to get a couple different pieces. First: the candle. This is called Georgia Peach, so it’s not part of the body products’ line, but it’s a perfect summer candle. I love the packaging – the frosted peach-colored glass is so pretty and simple, and kind of just fades into the background of any design theme. As for the scent, I like that it’s a little sweeter than most peach scents because it’s paired with some vanilla, and is overall just really pleasant without being cloying.

The two products I picked up from the Pretty as a Peach line are the fine fragrance mist and the Foaming Sugar Scrub. I’ve used many fragrance mists from Bath and Body Works before, and as per usual this one was great. I like that the mist has a pretty strong scent, as it won’t fade as soon as I spray it!

The scrub was brand-new to me, but I LOVED how it foamed into soap after the crystals dissipate. It was so fun to use and definitely smelled of peaches in the shower, but I didn’t notice much of a smell afterwards. I only got a chance to use it once before I went on vacation, so I’ll have to see if that’s still true next time I use it (maybe I didn’t use enough?).

Next, I bought some Pink Cashmere shower gel – nothing new here, this is actually a repurchase for me! I love the combination of sandalwood and amber with the jasmine, because the first two scents balance out the ultra-floral vibe of the last.

The last two products are both new ones for me, and ones I didn’t get to try before I went out of town! I got a bottle of the luxury bubble bath in A Thousand Wishes, which is a scent I’ve had before in the foaming hand soap and LOVED. Now that it’s summertime, I’m hoping I have more time for bubble baths, so we’ll have to see how this works out!

Finally, the last product is the Clay Body Scrub in Wildberry & Chamomile. I think this is a newer product, because I’ve never seen it in stores before, and I’m really intrigued by it!! Just from a sniff in the store, I love how the scent is a little more natural than Bath and Body Works tends to be, and although the fruit smell definitely overpowers the tea for me, I’m hoping the chamomile works more to calm the skin than to fragrance it! I’m also interested to see what the clay mixture does…as soon as I’m home I’ll try it out!

So that’s it for this haul. HOPEFULLY there will be another one very soon…I just love Bath & Body Works, whoops.

Until next time ~

XOXO, Maria
